I would recommend Samsung for monitors anyday, but the Asus one you posted earlier was nice.

Look at this monitor

Samsung T220

1680 x 1050 resolution
20000:1 Contrast Ratio
2MS response time

Yeah, i first planned to buy that one.
Tho, i just noticed it dropped in price aswell, it used to go for 229, now it's 199.

I think i might actually go for that one.

But i'm gonna reconsider tho.

the LG priced at 149 is tempting
Its nice to since it has 8000:1 and same resolution.

I would highly recommend it. The build quality is second to none in my opinion, and the quality is even better than my last Samsung 22". At that price it is very nice.

I have a 2253BW and replaced my older 931BF with it. Very nice! I wasn't even really partial to widescreen rezzes before, but after getting used to a laptop that had it, I figured, why not.

yeah, its priced 190€ on a dutch based website, but the site i check prices from dousn't list this one.

I did read a review tho, and what bugs me is that this screen has a 16:9 ratio instead of 16:10.
I love the way it looks tho

i'm not really sure what that means, but i'm assuming the resolution scales are different from a 16:10

where it'll probably be 1600 x 1000 or something instead of 1680 x 1050

the vx2260wm have 1920*1080 resolution(16:9, instead of the 1920x1200 16:10)...which is the same as HDTVs. Perfect for watching movies or using with PS3. A lot of games support the 1920x1080 resolution also.

I have the acer 22 inch which looks the same as what you're looking at. I think it's great! I've had no problems and it's quite bright. I upgraded from a 17 inch as well. Just be aware mine has no height adjustment.

Many sources say that the contrast ratio means nothing these days. Some say 3000:1 others 30000:1

I say save your money, buy the Acer and spend the rest on more ram (or ...)

i think 1680 is the sweet spot, most cards can run that res fine

going to 1920x1200 is excessive and will strain any video card
