I bought this one a couple weeks ago and I love it. Built in speakers and webcam. 5 eggs.

I vote for the Scepter since it has a much better contrast ratio (4000:1 to 1000:1) as well as response time (2ms to 5ms)

This thread is a great resource, if you don't mind plowing through it...

  • BenQ G2400WD, 24". TN display that outclasses the 245BW in every aspect, at least according to initial reports. Very good value for anyone who wants a cheap 24" gaming or general use/other panel. The default color accuracy is even good, so although photo editing certainly isn't the best use of a TN panel, it may not be out of the question with this LCD. $369.99 at Newegg.
I picked up this monitor for $290 shipped sometime back, and I must say it's amazing... IIRC I read that LCD makers have an over supply of panels. Given the drastic consumer spending contraction, you might see the ASP for many monitors(excluding 30") drop over the coming months in an attempt to boost sales. So I'd say hold out for a *****in deal on either the sammy or Benq. Oh and avoid 1900x1080 like the plague. 1900x1200 = mo betta. :P

I think everything for that price would be refurbished. Unless it's a 1920x1080.

A buddy of mine almost sold his Gateway 24" here. I had to quickly change his mind as it has a Samsung PVA panel found in the 245T.
Corrected.
The 245T is to expensive for what it does. unless you have like a PS3/360/PC/second PC connected to it...

The 2493HM does the work really great and have good view angles too.

+3 for the Samsung for the simple fact that besides LG, they are the other other LCD panel producers in the world. Their quality and reliability is already renowned, so that's a given.
