So i'm possibly in the market for a 24"+ monitor and i'm rather in the dark about multiple source monitors. i'm hoping it'll fill the roles of my TV, console screen, and desktop monitor.
i've somewhat settled on a Samsung t240HD factory refurb off ebay. primarily because of the connectivity. but i'm just a bit curious as to what similar options are out there; brand won't matter unless it's like ACME or something . more options are always a plus, even though i know there's much samsung love on this forum, which from my experience with them is deserved.I only watch the errant movie, i don't photo-edit, i do a little CAD work but nothing major that requires spot-on color, and main gaming console is PS2 using Component cables. max budget-wise ~$300 shipped +/-10% B&M works too

I think that Samsung T240HD would be a good monitor for your needs.

Because of how nice it is, and the wealth of connections, I think the T240HD is the best option for you.
Good Choice Personally, I like having a TV for my consoles and stuff, Newegg has a 24" Scepter 1080p TV with 1 more HDMI connection for $267

yup normally i'd rather just connect to a TV. but the apartment i'm headed for next sem is smaller than anticipated and the huge, heavy, why does it still work 22-year-old CRT tv that i normally use just isn't practical
![]() also thanks for the link on the sceptre. wasn't showing up in Newegg and google's shopping thingamajig as one w/ a TV-Tuner. (well technically it was in the TV's section too... )
