Default BEST Gaming LCD. $600 Budget

I have two LG's right now. A 22" and a 20". They're meh.. crisp picture but a ridiculous amount of backlight bleeding. Pretty much every edge has enormous amounts of backlight bleeding. And my 20's picture is screwed up, purple lines run through it.. Anyway

I want to purchase a new monitor. Something AMAZING. It's tough to find a solid consencus about one single display that is great, So my question is.. What is the best gaming display you can purchase for under $600. Or if possible, $300-$400.

Thank you for reading and taking your time to hel;!

I would recommend my monitor, but I found that mine had pretty bad light-bleeding. Maybe the version that is ~$50 more uses a better panel.

Thanks for the help guys. Light bleeding is my worst enemy. I literally am so angry at these LG's that are both COVERED in it.

About the Dell's. What I read on these forums is that they're amazing monitors but not so much for gaming. Moreso for creative arts and media? Is this true.. I understand the difference between the IPS and TN panels and which are better at which but are there any monitors designed with the adaptations of gaming.

Well you either want to go 30" for higher resolution or something around 23" or smaller if stuck at 1080p. Since 30" is out of your budget, I would just go with this samsung 2048 x 1152 and save the money for other stuff. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001317

If you can get another 400 you could go 30" and up the res more and have a huge monitor.

Either way I would stick with something smaller cause you want to keep a good ppi.

The Dell is designed for picture quality in mind.

But it's fine for gaming. It's response time is low enough that ghosting does not occur and picture quality is a must when picking out a dark blue item in a black background.

Why not a nice big TV, you can get a nice 32+ for the budget you have.

Because a 32" 1080p at 2 feet looks like butt.
