Default 2560x1600 DVI-D Cable?

I currently have:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812189048

However it says:
Dual Link Digital signaling allows for high speed transmission up to 9.95Gbps and with resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 pixels.

Can someone please fill me in on if this cable will work for 2560x1600? I was under the impression that all DVI-D cables supported this resolution.

Any and all dual link cables should support 2560x1600.

You can purchase here for cheaper price and those are higher quality cable as well.

Remember the lower the gauge number the better the quality.

Take it from me, if it says "up to 2048 x 1536 pixels" then that's what it is. I got a DVI-D cable that said that, thinking it should support the full resolution since it's DVI-D....it didn't =/ So I had to buy another cable.

This is completely untrue. The length of the cable will make a major difference.

I purchased a 10ft. high end dual link DVI cable for my Dell 3008 and it is not able to carry enough signal (artifacts, etc., on screen).

The only cable that seems to work is the 6ft. cable that came with the monitor, but I have to string it across the front of my desk because it's so short. Major pain.
