I want to get a display for pc/ps3 gaming and movies. Trying to avoid tn panels.
1. What happens when you display a ps3 game @ 1080p on a monitor that runs at 1920x1200 (dell u2410, btw I know most games are 720p). Is this like my acer 1680x1050 running at 1280x1024 where the image stretched out and horrid? 2. Does the picture look better if the monitor's max resolution is 1920x1080 instead of 1920x1200 since that's exactly 1080p? 3. How do you know if a monitor runs 1080p@24hz or 24p. What do you look at in the specs? I didn't know the dell u2410 did it until it was mentioned in a cnet review. 4. I'm reading around and I always seen to come back to the dell u2410 ips. Is there anything like a samsung xl2370 or p2570 without tn panel? |

yea I'm confused about that. here's the review I'm talking about
http://www.cnet.com.au/dell-ultrasha...-339298064.htm "The PlayStation 3 looked great, and film fans will be happy to know the screen supports 1920x1080 @ 24Hz through over the PS3's HDMI connection when playing Blu-ray. An Oppo BDP-83 also managed direct mode at 23.967 fps, so 24p is definitely a go, while for gaming, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 looked gorgeous" |

the Dell allows you to either stretch the 1080 to fit 1200 or displays black bars top and bottom and keeps the correct aspect ratio.
