Default 2nd monitor flickering
Today was the first day I tried out using a 2nd monitor. I have an old HP 17inch monitor that I used for a couple years until I got my sig rig one last week.

I plugged it into my 2nd DVI slot with the dvi > vga connector and it worked but I see flickering lines every few seconds.

Any ideas?

have you tried that port with your other monitor to see if it is your monitor or the port?

edit: also try the same monitor on the other port.

Good call. Rule out other hardware and narrow it down to a monitor problem.
