Default OLED vs CRT and stuff questions

Are the OLED type of screens (Zune HD, Cowon S9, Samsung M1, Sony X Series Walkman) as good as the CRT type screens (Old Tube TVs and old colored monitors) in terms of color?

I really know nothing much about these stuff.

All i know is that my TN Panel Samsung Monitor sucks so hard compared to the colors of our 17" CRT Monitor that is about 7 years old.

The OLED's are very very nice, you probably won't notice a difference between a (good) CRT and an OLED screen.

Mostly because in OLED screens, each pixel produces light instead of blocking light like LCD's.

On an OLED screen image quality does suffer when you change resolutions like LCD's because you still have pixel elements unlike CRT's.

OLED does have better blacks & contrast levels, but it's not that much different than LCD's or better.

CRT's are currently still king as far as picture quality goes.

how about backlight bleeding? does OLED still bleed? Im not sure if i remember correctly or if it was a camera trick.. but i didnt see any from an OLED in youtube.

i have only seen one IPS/PVA btw in real life (Dell 2408 WFP in a hospital, i kept walking around the nurse's station just too take a good look at it. It looks wonderful compared to my monitor)

OLEDS are very nice, but because they are "organic" their quality wont last as long as even a plasma. It's just because OLED is relatively a newer technology that is just now being practiced and expanded.

but in small devices like those mentioned in the OP, i presume that color saturation and viewing angle will be outstanding. not to mention low power.

From what I have seen of large models in videos no.

But what I know from experience (my zune HD) no they have no bleeding.

Picture to picture, I think an IPS panel looks nicer than an OLED, but compared to most LCD's out there, they are pretty beautiful

CRT's emit a crap load of electromagnetic waves that can actually cause all kinds of genetic errors in the human body if exposed to long/to much. lol, but then again almost all electrical devices emit electromagnetic waves, but you don't sit with your face 12 inches away from them now do you .
