Are the OLED type of screens (Zune HD, Cowon S9, Samsung M1, Sony X Series Walkman) as good as the CRT type screens (Old Tube TVs and old colored monitors) in terms of color?

The OLED's are very very nice, you probably won't notice a difference between a (good) CRT and an OLED screen.
Mostly because in OLED screens, each pixel produces light instead of blocking light like LCD's. On an OLED screen image quality does suffer when you change resolutions like LCD's because you still have pixel elements unlike CRT's.

OLED does have better blacks & contrast levels, but it's not that much different than LCD's or better.
CRT's are currently still king as far as picture quality goes.

OLEDS are very nice, but because they are "organic" their quality wont last as long as even a plasma. It's just because OLED is relatively a newer technology that is just now being practiced and expanded.

but in small devices like those mentioned in the OP, i presume that color saturation and viewing angle will be outstanding. not to mention low power.

But what I know from experience (my zune HD) no they have no bleeding. Picture to picture, I think an IPS panel looks nicer than an OLED, but compared to most LCD's out there, they are pretty beautiful

CRT's emit a crap load of electromagnetic waves that can actually cause all kinds of genetic errors in the human body if exposed to long/to much. lol, but then again almost all electrical devices emit electromagnetic waves, but you don't sit with your face 12 inches away from them now do you
.
