Is it accurate to say that UltraMon is one of the best multi-monitor applications available to consumers on the market. If not can you suggest other possible alternatives.

Matrox TripleHead2Go is better, IMO. It makes it so that your GPU interprets monitors as one - so if you have two 1680x1050, your GPU believes you have *one* monitors at 3360x1050, or 1680x2100 if for some reason you wanted vertical deskspace.

He's talking about monitor altering/monitoring applications... Like ultramon... It just gives you different things you can customize to change how your monitors are setup. Like you can ignore monitors. Useful if you fold with more than 1 card... You know activating that monitor and having windows get stuck on it sucks. You can disable it through ultramon and no windows or your cursor can go to it. Stuff like that.

ya there are a couple others but ive always used ultramon
ultramon is a program that adds a task bar to each extra monitor so whatever is on the screen shows on its own task bar also adds support for wallpapers and screensaver and ads 2 extra buttons to most off all windows that allows you to switch a widow to a dif screen or stretch all the way across
