your monitor lists 76hz 1600x900, if u have any other screens on that card, (tv,another lcd/crt) disconnect those and try the card's primary connection most left (not yellow)

there are no other monitors on that card and it is on the primary conector.
and i tried the reg hack again and suprise suprise, more 1440x900 (im growing a hatred of that resolution)

turns out i cant backup
i tried copying a 5gb iso file onto a empty 65gb partiton and it said there wasnt enough free space, yet it will happily copy my 15gb+ steam folder god i hate f****** windows

Right click desktop > properties> screen res or whatever the tab is called that you change the resolution at lol > advanced > driver> update > choose manually > uncheck show compatible > try some other monitors that have the res you want.
I'm on windows 7 so those might not be the exact steps but should be close.

What filesystem are you using on the empty 65gb partition? If you formatted it as FAT32, that would explain your problem... FAT32 cannot store files larger than 4GB. In this case the solution would be to reformat your backup partition to NTFS.

You can convert fat32 to NTFS without loosing your data.
