Default New LED-Backlit monitor. Should I get it?

I was leisurely browsing through Newegg and noticed this Asus monitor. I currently own this monitor, and I'm wondering if I would be able to notice and appreciate the difference?

Energy Savings:
Dell = 40w
Asus = 25w

365 days x 24 hours= 8760 total hours
8760 x (40-25) = 131.4KwH
131.4 x $0.074 = ~$9.72

If you have money burning a hole in your pocket and cannot think of anything else to spend it on, I would say go for it. 17" is way too small for a computer monitor!!!!

I personally would never use anything smaller than a 24" again after having my current monitor. Be it an LED or not.

You monitor never goes to sleep mode?

LED backlight monitors also have less noticable backlight bleeding as the lighting tends to be more even.

Dear God yes.

17" is way too small.

You'll love this

My monitor refuses to sleep while folding. I sometimes refuse to too x_x

Edit: I saw a very nice deal on ebay and I jumped on it instead. Samsung P2370 for 100 shipped. Minor cosmetic damage. I do believe I made a nice decision.

It's the regular non-hdmi version.

LED's technically still are LCD's IIRC.

Anywho..
This actually looks like a great deal for a monitor, and I might just pick one up.

You're joking, right? It's STILL AN LCD!

The only thing is a different backlight style!

Sigh
