I have been running 2 HP W1907 monitors for about a year and a half now. Both were brand new. One of them just lost a backlight.
 Is there any way to fix this? If I turn it off, and then back on after 5 or so mins, it stays on for a few, but is definitely dimmer. Does HP RMA stuff if you don't have an original receipt ? I bought it at circuit city... which now no longer exists, so I couldn't get a receipt if I tried. Edit: the one that went out is actually the newer one of the two! One thats out: 6165 hours on the backlight Other one that still is going strong: 9440 Hours.

are you sure its the light or the inverter is going bad?

I don't think HP will RMA without a receipt. Looks like your gonna need to buy a new monitor.

looks like they can do it by serial.
gonna find out what they plan to do, and how much shipping this thing around is gonna cost me. Might just try to sell my one good monitor and buy a 21.5 inch 1080p asus monitor
