Wow, very well done. My hands are way too big to even consider doing that kind of stuff.

actually that vdimm mod on the biostar is oneof the easiest volt mods ive ever done, yuou dont need to solder anything to the mobo so theres no real risk involved, works great to

one thing i noticed was make sure that you actually read the vdimm at the mobo and dont depend on the bios, mine was .08 higher then what bios was reporting (my ram didnt like 2.48v very much, oops
) just for anyone trying it out, still no complaints though

Just use a pencil.
My BIOS was only .3v off. My RAM suprisingly wasn't yelling at me @ 2.46v though. Seemed pretty happy @ DDR2-1066Mhz @ CL4. Sad thing was I couldn't Prime because temps, but hey. It works. ![]() Good guide.

yeah but pook its far harder to adjust a pencil type mod rather then a variable resister that you can fine tune to whatever you want/need for what your doing, plus a pencil unless you coat it with something tends to fluff off excpetially with air cooling near that area
its not too bad, i just dont like pencil mods all that much i like the control of a soldered mod

its not,i think you miss understood, i find it easier to turn a little knob that allows me exact control over my voltage and a wide range of voltages,
