Hmmm as if this thread hasnt been done to death...
Well im doing the Vmod cause 1.55 is killing my fx-55's oc capabilities. right now im at 30 load(and my AS5 hasnt even cured yet) so i want more VCORE! As i don't have a 10k pot i was wondering a few things. What if i just took a wire from a fan and hooked it to the pin and just grounded it out? Could i use super glue instead of solder? Could i use AS5 instead of solder? I suck at soldering and dont have an old board/a decent soldering gun to solder with, what should i do? If i could get a 10K pot should i? I think i might have a 10k pot on a fan(it came with the fan in a TT armor) how do i check? I dont have a multimeter(im just to lazy to buy one. And im broke). Thx guys.

Ok so i have my .032 dia. rosin core solder, and i have my cold heat soldering iron, my 10k poteniometer(although im not sure quite how to set it up for resistance, but ill figure it out), and some wire from a newer fan that i just didnt need. i think i have the whole checklist now. now i just need to reasearch and find the amazing SMALL pin to ground out, i dont even know what side of my mobo its on...

my thread
it has the pictures from when i did it and the links to the vrzone ones (which are better then my pics) either way you should be able to figure it out from there, careful though its a tight spot make sure you take your mobo out of the case and get a clean work area with plenty of light and stuff and good luck edit: i dont recommend that style of variable resister since they dont handle fine tuning very well so i had to set it and use bios to fine tune the voltage, also the wires were way to long coupled with the var res that i used caused my vcore to fluctuate alot which wasnt very good

In the a8 n32 I have that option. And really I never check for the higher volt that this mobo can go.I know I use once some like 1.65 volt's.

ahh your talking about your board, his is the a8n sli deluxe not the a8n32, they have different stuff and different settings, your board the a8n32 was made more for overclocking hence why you dont need to volt modd it
the a8n sli deluxe and premium have the vcore top out at 1.55v and hence ususally have a hardtime reaching the premium oc for a amd chip if i miss understood your post sorry
