AFAIK, you can't make a motherboard go faster....

you can mod the Dimm, so that it can reach higher voltages. Some ( most) motherboards limit the amount of voltage that the Dimms can take. The Biostar TForce 965p , for instance , can only reach 2.3 vdimm, but with voltmod, can go higher.

Err.. I thought you meant the motherboard as a whole.
__________________Modern Mobo's have DIMM Voltages built into the BIOS anyway. You COULD VM them on older boards to achieve higher voltages. The same for PCI/AGP slots.

john, i think this is over your head, volt mods consist of overpowering and overthrowing the resistors therefore allowing more voltage through the major points, by replacing a stock 10k resistor with a 10k variable resistor you can increase the voltage to the deliverance point. whether it be the RAM, CPU, NB, SB. Then Vdroop mods allow for lower losses between Bios settings and deliverence points, allowing for more voltage to be stably delivered.

hmm I see, what about cooling the mobo?
would you have to put a waterblock on the bios chip, or northbridge? P.S. love your sig hell scream lol underwater level

The only reason to do any of this is to build a better overclocker.. in which case, better cooling is always a better idea.

If you volt mod the motherboard, you can change the amount of voltage to the NB thus allowing higher FSBs. This is how the P5B-D can hit 550 fsb.
