I have a little problem with mine q6600.I run it with stock cooler at stock Voltage, it has Vdroop rated ~0,08V.For all you who don't know this-In Bios is a feature which loweres Vdroop(it says-Improves Vdroop).

My problem is when i OC it to 3.1Ghz=388*8 I have problem with #3 core. Then I increase Voltage to 1.45-0,08(Vdroop) and it's stiil problem with #3 core.It runs ok at 3.0Ghz with stock voltage :wua: bur i don't know why it can go to 3.1Ghz with that Voltage.Cpu-t reports 1.3V under load(Bios set to 1.45V).I have NO VMOD done yet.

you are dropping almost .15v..ouch. I would not use the BIOS feature..it doesnt seem like it is improving the vdroop at all.

..how are you setermining you have an issue with core #3?

anyone who's thinking of doing this should read the famous vdroop post that's hanging around here somewhere first. vdroop has a purpose and diving in head first and totally ablating it without careful consideration (or even with, probably) isn't a smart thing to do.

your vcore is drooping too much, you need to raise the vcore level in the BIOS by another .02-.03v to compensate. It is perfectly normal and happens all the time, with every mobo... how much and to what degree is dependant on the mobo itself though.

ie- if you need 1.3v to remain stable in Windows.. and you are 'drooping' .04v, then you need to set ~1.34 or 1.35vcore in the BIOS to achieve the 1.3v after droop.
