Does eliminating/attenuating vdroop actually help someone overclock their CPU higher by increasing stability ?
I have read here that vdroop is a good thing.

sorry if it's clear somewhere, but what is the purpose of this modification?

To make your vcore stable (almost identical at CPU idle and load).
It decreases the resistance so vcore doesn't drop that much.

Some say that vdroop is a way to protect a CPU when it goes from heavy to light load as the maximum specified voltage for a CPU can be exceed for a fraction of a second and without the user's knowledge during this transition in CPU load.

Still, a lot of overclockers try to get rid of vdroop when overclocking and it's important to maintain a minimum voltage for system stability.

I see, so this stops the 'vdroop'?

Some people have reported excellent results after performing the mod.
They got the exact same vcore for CPU idle and load.
