Default My results from ASUS P5K-E Pencil Vdroop Mod!

Alright, this was a complete success. Check out my results.

Before Mod

1.375Vcore BIOS Set
1.360 Idle Vcore in CPU-Z
1.352 Load Vcore in CPU-Z

This is with Voltage Damper Enabled!

After the vdroop mod, these are the results I got.

1.350Vcore BIOS Set Idling

1.350Vcore BIOS Set Under Load

The difference between my Idle Vdroop and load Vdroop, are absolutely NO change! It stays dead on 1.336 the whole time i ran orthos, did not move ONCE. I'm happy for sure

This is the pencil mod I used by the way, it works great.

Shade the 1 in LIGHT BLUE.

Dont shade the 1 that the white line goes to, look closely to see which 1 has the little light blue line over it and make sure you know you have the right one, was easy for me to locate on my board. That is on the P5K-Deluxe, but works great for all P5K's

Sweet, will be doing this on my board when I get home, so how many times did you shade in the blue line with your pencil, 5?

Well since the pencil I used wasnt puttin off much lead, i did tiny little circles across the whole thing, blew on it hard, then did another little run of little circles. So if you were just shading it, id probably say 5-6 swoops.

you only set the prority to 1? set it at 9 and run it for 9+ hours then you will know if its really stable

Priority 1 is the highest priority it goes, therefor testing it way harder than any other numbers.

Thats like setting a download to "priority 10" and then another download to "priority 1", the priority 1 is gonna go alot faster.

Unless i'm wrong, but I highly doubt it in this case, why would priority 9 stress it more? Im running 9 right now and i dont see any difference, my load temps are lower than on priority 1.

And even if 9 were more, if you run it on priority 1, then its still stable. I was gonna run longer anyway but i wanted to post this thread, I usually run a minimum of 14 hours. So your telling me if i ran it on priority 1 for 10 hours, then im really not stable? yeah, right.

Don't lower numbers mean higher priotrity? I'm pretty sure it would be stable at that voltage anyway, My Q6600 was stable at 1.28v at 3.0Ghz.

Its different circuitry, but its the same basically. You find that little chip that says KOREA on it(said that on mine and the picture is a P5K deluxe), and its the resistor closest to the bottom of that chip, facing vertical on the motherboard, horizontal if your looking at it sideways. Its the 1 shaded in blue though closest to the korea chip It just looks a lil different on that p5k deluxe
