I have an E8400 at 4GHz, but volt mods are used to get to higher votages, and with 45nm chips you shouldn't go above 1.3625v. So should i do it or no?

I don't quite get what you're trying to say--do you mean a hard-mod for more voltage to the CPU? what sort of motherboard volt mod do you need for the CPU when you can just change the voltage to the CPU in the BIOS?--the BIOS should have options for vcore above 1.3625--what BIOS version are you running?

Yes, correct. I can change the BIOS, i'm running f8f, but for 45nm chips since they're so voltage sensitive, you're not suppsoed to go over 1.3625. So i don't need more voltage. Is there any other good parts to vmods?

But to clarify, if you're talking about some volt mod to get more volts out of the board, then that's silly and unnecessary 'cause you can tweak that in the bios up to, I think something like 2.1v+ (if it's similar to my BIOS version)--not that you'd want to, LOL. Otherwise, the only volt mod I know of is for vdroop since everything else can be tweaked in the bios.
