I did the pencil mod but not with a pencil, I had a repair kit for a rear window defogger
laying around in my tool box so I used it, the mod works great but I have not tried any
big OC, need to get faster memory.

All I can say is AMAZING!!! Just read about this, tryed it, and now i am stunned. I can't believe something this simple could have helped, and i even used a normal pencil! Used to be 1.475v in bios, 1.424v at idle, and 1.408-1.395v under load. Now i'm sitting at 1.424v at idle and 1.440 at full load! Thanks for the easiest mod I've ever done.

Lightbulb OC E8500 to 4GHz

Once again many thanks, i can now run 4ghz stable (so far) with an incomparably lower and more stable vcore resulting in massively lower temps that leave room to go higher yet !!!
