Default Pencil Mod Question

Does a pencil mod eventually wear off? I did onw to my p35-ds3l about a few weeks ago to the point where there was no Vdroop and now I am beginning to see some droppage again. Should I re-pencil?

Also put some scotch tape over the pencil mod. It won't degrade so fast

I dont know how low you want the resistance of the resistor? if you want to bridge it, ie 0-ohm you can buy some conductive paint or a conductive pen.

here is one such product

Thats a good idea. Im guessing a small piece would be good enough.

Well, last time I had it down to about 500ohms. Just enough to not see any vdroop. I have a feeling bridging it wouldn't be a good idea because 500 ohms is the point where I see no droop and taking it down more seems like it would cause harm to my MB and CPU. I checked it earlier and it was up to 14XX something ohms. I know without the pencil mod it is supposed to be around 1900 ohms.

I have to get new leads for my multimeter so I'll post more info later. Also gotta study for a controls test tomorrow lol. Thanks for your help so far guys.

any time frame? I see that you board it v-modded also. have you ever redone yours? If so, how long inbetween? It seems like a month is kinda quick to be redoing it for me.
