Question Pencil Mod for Striker II NSE 790i SLi

I have just swapped my Extreme Motherboard with this NSE (Not So Extreme ) version.

As soon as I booted I changed the usual things in the BIOS and tried to run the overclock I had before on the extreme. It failed stability testing so I upped the voltage a little bit still no change.

It looks like this board has a hefty vdroop which maked me have to use crazy amounts of voltage to maintain my former OC.

How can I do a pencil mod?

If anyone has done it or knows how to do it please tell me where to pencil it.

Its where you pencil over a resistor to increase the voltage.

I think it can be done on all MBs as long as you know where to add graphite.

Precisely.

I did a quick Google search and came up with nothing for your specific mobo. I did however find one for the Extreme Striker II over at XS.

Oh Darn, it looks like I have to take of my cooler just to see the bloody thing. And it looks more like a soldering job than a pencil mod.
I guess I will have to try Loadline Calibration or get another Extreme.
