Question To buy or not to buy, that is the question

K, i was surfing the net for some neons to buy for my car, and i came across a site called litewave.co.uk

After i chose the ones i wanted, i decided to proceed with the order

here the screen i got in the 'your shopping cart' area:

I have a wierd feeling about that site that dont feel right, it doesnt have look professional, can it be a phishing site perhaps?

i say this because firstly the bit circled in red dont make any sense, and the bit underlined in green contradicts the statement because it it were true, then there should be a yellow padlock icon shown where the green arrow is pointing to, should there not?

and its not just this page; the page that comes after this (when you click on the 'order checkout' button), has fields where you enter your credit card details, and it also doesnt have any padlock icon in the status bar. So i decided not to go any further before discussing it here first.

You do though get the security warnings that are discussed in the bit circled in red, and you have to click yes for the page to be displayed properly.

Do you guys think that i should ignore it proceed with the order?

I wouldn't, just to be safe. Look for another site with the same product.

That site looks a bit dodgy. I'd avoid it.

Yeah I agree. If a site looks shabby I wont buy from them. OK this might not be the best way of judging it but I go with my gut instinct on these sorts of things. Alternatively if you do want to get them, depending upon price, if you pay with your credit card you should be covered under their fraud protection.

Probably worth looking at other sites.

On a side note, I believe that neons under the car bodywork are illegal in the UK, not sure but worth checking if you care

Neon are allowed on your car, but they're not allowed to be turned on when your car is in motion. *brother's a cop*
