Default dsl splitter ?

can you split a dsl cable (ntl braodband) with ,like, a y cable or something, for two pc's ?

I don't think so (i could be wrong).

If i am right then you would have to use a Modem/Router.

Umm I've never seen a splitter but a router or a hub can be picked up pretty cheap nowadays.

Don't think it will work...you need different ip addresses for each rig.

A hub or router. Methinks the modem can assign multiple ip's, at least mine does.

i use a cheap netgear switch i picked up at bestbuy for less than 20 bucks got 5 ports have 2 computers and xbox360 hooked up to it.

just fyi, the primary difference between a hub and a switch is... users on a hub SHARE bandwidth, whereas switch clients take rull advantage of all the bandwidth that their NIC allows.
