Default PCMCIA Problem !

Ive bought a PCMCIA Netgear wireless network thingy for my laptop the other day but im having some issues

The problem is that ive installed all the drivers/software etc. plugged it in PERFECT ! It found my wireless network , trying to connect but every time when it finally connects it loses signal again and so on

Laptop spec
*PIII 1.0Ghz
*256MB Ram
anything else , ask please

D-Link 802.11g/2.4Ghz wireless router

Netgear PCMCIA wireless thingy adapter

Have you had problems with wireless before??

You can try WinSockFix...

I havent mate , it works perfectly fine with normal USB adapters thanks for the link , ill try it

You may also try completely uninstalling the drivers for the card and the pcmcia drivers (If you can, don't remember exactly how the pcmcia stuff works) and reinstalling.

Also make sure there is only one utility managing the wireless features. Netgear may have it's own, but I actually prefer windows' tool. It seems to work the best... Go figure. lol
