I got mine years ago so it mighta changed, but it was abasically a letter forwarded to me by Optimum from some sort of company that was contracted by the movie industry/riaa.

Went something along the lines of, "Hello! As per our research we've found evidence of you sharing the following copywrited material: ", then on a seperate page it listed the file name, location I downloaded it to, my ip, where I got it from, date, time and the method used to get it (bittorrent/p2p/etc) as well as some other scary info.

I had it hanging on my bedroom wall but lsot in when i moved, it's gotta be somewhere. Always makes for a good lol.

Obviously the letter was a lot longer and more legal sounding, but that was basically it. I think it said that I should remove all of the above listed from my hard drive and immediately stop sharing them.

you'll notice they were only pissed about my sharing (seeding) them, that's all they can get you for

comcast doesnt monitor you...3rd party vendors do..my friend got a letter...all you have to do is throw it out and say you never got it
as for the rest...comcast is fine...fast and everything
