Default WINXP File Sharing Permissions

I just recently got a laptop, so I'm trying to share my personal files over the network. However, I only want my laptop and my local user to be able to view/modify the files. I have no problem providing local access and BLOCKING everyone, but I can't see to allow just a single user from another computer.

I can get here, but when it says "From this location:", I can't specify any other domain or computer. I'm just wondering what I have to do to be able to add another user.

I have this problem also. I thought it would be a case of adding the name PC/user but I cannot find a way to get this to work (computer doesnt seem to like retireving user names from target computer).

Im wondering if it is a case of the account having to exist on both computers maybe.

I know that this kind of setup would work on a domain, but that isnt feasible in this situation
