Default Cant See Local Area Connection 1

I have an evga 680i se. About two days ago I was able to see my Local Area Connection 1 in my Network Connections. Now I can't see it. I made sure the ethernet cable was plugged in and it is but after opening Network Connections I could only see Local Area Connection 2. Can someone help me because I want to set a static ip for the local area connection 1.

is it enabled? (Right click the interface and enable)
If you cant see it, is teh card inserted or has it become disabled in the BIOS?
