Default SOLVED: Missing Network Adpaters on fresh install

I'm missing my Network Adpaters.

I have installed all the Drivers from the Mobo CD (Asus Striker Extreme).

They are present in the Vista install, but not on the XP install (2 physically different HDD's).

I have some fixes to try when I get home, but I would like some input from the experts as I am taking pot-shots in the dark

Please help?

With vista, You don't even need to install the Network drivers. With Xp, It's a different story. Make sure you are installing the correct network/miniport drivers. Go to asus's POS website and you probably should find them.

Are they missing all together? Or just not showing up in Network Connections?

Last week I had them not showing up on my XP install I tried every single one of those steps and nothing helped. Currently running Vista x64 and no problems at all.

I also tried setting static IP with the command line, but with no luck. I still had internet access though through DHCP...

Okay... for the 2nd time this week I find that I must wipe egg from my face.

Now... I know that I need to install all the appropriate Drivers when building a new rig....really.... I'm a Noob, not a Noooooob.

What I do not get is why the CD that came with the Mobo did not have ALL of the Drivers listed in the setup. I needed to go back and browse the CD, which finally yielded the required files buried in a hierarchy of folders....

Oh well... all is well that ends well.

My thanks, and + to all those that chimed in, or squeeked up. My gratitude to Ya'll!
