Hey Miki, is it ok if I link to your page here? Unless you have some idea for my guide, or want to help with it.
Yah no problem buddy.

The link is located in my signature.
I have been busy with schoolwork, but I will update a bit right now. Still not yet finished adding all the anti-malware yet.

This is a wonderful post... but...

do you think you could provide a tad more information on the base page, most people would find it beneficial to know which one's run in the background as Real-Time Protection, and others as a Do-It-Yourself type of run. Some people prefer each, ie: use realtime virus protection, while DIY spyware protection.

Miki you should add Sunbelt Personal Firewall to the list,it used to be Kerio Personal Firewall and is quite good.
You download the free trial and you have the pro version for 30 days, then after that it disables the pro features for a basic free firewall if you don't purchase a key.

Hello, Ive been using this proggy ever since it spawned from the creators mind.
http://www.diamondcs.com.au/freeutilities/regprot.php

This is an excellent freeware realtime Registry monitor - gives you the chance to allow or deny changes. Only 128k mem usage too.

First time you run it ... it will ask you if you want your current start up programs to run every time. From then on its pretty simple ... every major registry entry will be notified to you.

Just as a heads up, AVG Root kit detection no longer is available as freeware or anything otherwise. Only available in commercial products.
