Default Slow Speeds During Peek Hours

I have Virgin Media Cable 20Mbps
Off Peek hours i get between 10000Kbps to 15000Kbps and max i got is 17500Kbps

and peek hours which is around 6 - 10 GMT i get like 2000Kbps to 4500Kbps

is this acceptable, have any of u experinced this with Virgin media(UK)?

Its their Fair Usage Policy.

Same for me, nothing you can do unless you download less during peak hours or switch ISP.

How are you working out these speeds?

I'm not sure about Virgin, but BT definitely limits my torrent speeds during the day, although normal downloads seem unaffected.

Nothing you can do but get a better ISP. Seems they don't have the bandwidth to keep up with all their users.

I get the same speeds 24/7, 2MB/sec (16,000KBPS) (as long as the website supports that fast)
