Ok I need to stop people from being able to ping me for a start
__________________Then i need to disable telnet, RDP, ICMP, DHCP Can anyone help me lol. Ive got a deal on with my mate who reckons he can get into my PC and change my desktop background Anyone care to help lol

These are the instructions for xp, what OS are you running? They could also apply to vista but may be slightly different.
__________________Right Click My Computer, Manage, In the left pane Expand Services and Applications and Click Services. This will give you a list of Services to disable etc. Here's a good site to check out of which you can disable or leave on. http://www.theeldergeek.com/services_guide.htm Also are you by any chance sitting behind a router that NAT's? That'll also make it a lot more difficult. You can check which ports you have open by going to start-> run-> cmd and type netstat -a

Yeh I am behind a router. It is NAT i think, not 100% sure
