Default help with weird internet connection problem

for some reason my laptop keeps dropping its connection to the home network, i have 4 other computers connected wirelessly along with 2 consoles and have no problems with them!, but on my laptop every 2-3 minutes my IMS will sign out and in again a few seconds later and i have no idea why!

on my laptop i stopped using the internal wireless and put in a PCMIA card and the problem still persists, i have also downloaded updates and removed and installed MSN but this did not help.

have you guys got any idea's what i can do to fix this little problem. thanks in advance

Virus\Adaware\Spyware scan. When it drops and comes right back in this generally indicates a timeout, not an actual loss of connection.
