dude you need to make sure that the rest of the settings are correct as well. just the user name and password might not be enough. look around on some other forums and get details like ADSL+ settings. thier are quite a few others. you might want to call up your ISP and get them.

oh one more thing some times my internet cuts off but not completely because if i am on vent i can still talk to ppl, but my Firefox does not work for a few seconds does anyone else have this problem?

Yeah...Its probably your DNS servers, you can change them in router config.
UK broadband sucks sometimes. What company are you with?

Hmm, it should be under one of the config pages, It'll probably say 'DNS servers' You may just have to hunt around the config menu.
