New router help
my friend just gave me a brand new router might not be new in shops, but never been opend new its a Siemens sb5830 i plug my internet cable into the router because it has built in modem it finds it on my computer but when i try putting my isp username and password it does not work any help?

If your utilizing a router with DD-WRT simply flash firmware. Are you using DSL as your ISP? Some people have problems with linksys working properly with DSL. This problem may be similar to yours. Check your router's home page for settings related to your problem. Call your ISP and verify correct username and password are being used. Good luck.

ok i know i have got a proper ip and username and password for the router, ill try getting screenshot of the settings.

my router menu would not open on IE but did on FF so internet sorted thanks for help anyways guys +rep
