Default Monitor my Wireless router -

I am trying to find out if there is a way to monitor who and what is connecting to my router through the wireless.

My router is the Linksys Wrt5gl dealy .

A friend told me to plug a machine with two NICs between the modem and the router and set up a squid cache with usage stats and authourization.

But My pc dosenthave 2 NIC's and my main pc that i use is connected via wireless internet to the router, so i do not have easy access to it via wired connection
