I flashed it with ver.23 sp2 mini.

I really dont know what to do know, how do i achieve better performance?

what is the purpose of overclocking a Router?

afterburner really help?..how do i properly use it?

I didnt really read much about how to use the features, but i thought i would experiment.

thanks ahead of time.

Well for a couple of things having this firmware installed unlocks a few capabilities such as Bridged routing and Ad-Hoc. Not only that but you can boost the signal strength aswel.

I would help more but I am not my house infront of my Router interface.

Better performance = increase the number of ports. This really helps with Torrents. You can also set up Quality of Service to allow certain PCs/apps to have higher priority. You can also boost the power to improve broadcasing.

Overclock the router to allow it handle more loads (i.e. Torrents).

Afterburner is another name for 125 High Speed Mode by Broadcom. You need a compatible wireless adapter to use it. ZyXEL, Belkin, Buffalo, and Linksys all sell adapters that work under different names. Please read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/125_High_Speed_Mode

v23 is quite old, theres been alot of changes...you should go with rc7, you wont have any problems, your cpu is a 4712, you should go VINT, vint uses the old drivers, so go rc7 VINT, and youll be happy

I see it says ''Mini.bin'' but to make sure is this the mini version that will work on the cut down versions of the routers ?

no micro is the one that works on cut down versions, i usually run mini either way as standard doesnt offer me anything, if your router less than 4mb flash you go micro only, if your router version 5 you go micro only, dont go vint though

this is for you (version 5)

Thanks for the help guys.

the Current firmware is working fine for me (v.23 sp2)

It allows me to forward more ports for games-xbox-torrentz-

and it lets me turn my connection off at a scheduled time so people in my house don't use my rig when i dont want them to

Hmm, I tried to look up what firmware to use with my 2.2 a while ago but the dd-wrt site was pretty convoluted and I didn't get anywhere. Would I need different firmware for 2.2 than 2.0?
