I don't know why, but I keep losing connection with my router? I am having this problem with two different laptops an Acer thats running Vista Home Premium 32-bit and a MacBook running Mac OS X Leopard. I have tried it with WEP, WPA Personal, and WPA Personal 2. It doesnt matter which I set it on, but I still lose connection. I have tried it on a set up that broadcasts B, G, and N and I lose my connection constantly with both laptops and with the Acer I have a lot of difficult connecting all together.
__________________Would my internet signal be causing my laptops to lose connection like that or would it be a router problem? I love in Northern Virginia and we did just get hit by a huge storm and to my understanding comcast has been having difficulties.

Are you losing connect to your router or is your modem losing connect to your ISP? Those are two VERY different things. Also, do you live in a city?

How would I be able to tell the difference? I guess you could say that I live in a small city. I have Comcast High Speed Internet.

could updating the firmware possibly fix my issue if it is the router?

Remember as well most 802.11X wireless runs on 2.4ghz range so if you happen to have an older cordless phone or the likes of any devices in this range it will blink your wireless connection.
I have the same in my home if my wife uses the cordless land line.

With the router that was giving me issues I never really noticed it but at times I would also lose connection with my desktop which is connected threw a ethernet cable.

The cordless I guess *could* extend enough to blip your wireless but if your also having corded troubles then somethings off with the router itself I would think. Anymore you just Plug-N-Play them other than setting some security and they work. So hard to diagnose them because, as in most cases, they appear to work normally then *blam* weirdness. Hope you can figure it out.. I'll check back if anything else hits me out of the ordinary.
