Default Server internet

Hey all

I'm looking for some internet access to use for a server...

What are my options?
(From cheapest to highest)

I live in California, so I cannot get FiberFios.

www.broadbandreport.com

punch in your zip code and you can look up pretty much all available servicese in your area. What you really need to determine is how much upload you need for the server. Figure out how many hits per day you think\hope to get. If it's lets say 3000 or less, than pretty much any home ISP would suffice as 150-300k UL will do fine with small loads. If you're hoping to get a very large site running, then you should start looking into something like a T1, as they guartenee upload speeds, unlike a home ISP, where your service is "best effort".

I do not know if I'm missin something, but that site appears to be all ads?

Well, What I'm woried about is the fact that my reviews have lots of picure, an the forum seems to ake quite abit of bandwith...I'm not sure altho.

Well upgrade as we have to, do not need T1 yet..lol

Try looking for some symmetrical plans. Seriously, if you can bust 5 mbits up/down with a home server, hats off to you, even some hardcore torrenting can hardly break 5 mbit up.

hat do you mean by symetrical plans?

If you haven't noticed, I probablly think it takes more bandwith to run a site then it really does.

Sorry for my newbishness.
