$45 for 15/2 isn't bad! I have Verizon and I currently have their fastest DSL package. 3/768. $30 with contract and $40 without. Our contract is about the end, so I am hoping that FiOS is in my area.

Installion takes a little while, but well worth it!

When you order Verizon FiOS, a Verizon professional will install your service. Installation is FREE for your primary computer if you sign up for a one-year agreement. If you select a Month-to-Month plan, the installation fee is $79.99. You will also be given the option of setting up additional computers during the initial installation for $89.99 each.

Fios is great. A couple of things I would like to warn you about:
1. You will no longer have copper wire phone lines. This means when the power goes out; so does your phone. (There is a backup battery for the phone which lasts six hours I believe.)

2. The Verizon provided router is excellent. Unfortunately they decided to follow their business partners Verizon Wireless tactics and cripple the router. The NAT table is VERY limited and fills up quickly. This means that programs like Steam and torrents may not work until you reset your router which you may have to do quite often.

3. Your free TV will take years to come. (Exaggeration)

4. If you're getting the $99 package (TV, Phone, Internet), it is going to end up costing you around $150 after cables boxes and taxes.

5. Did I mention your free gift (TV in my case) will take a long time to arrive?
