Angry Just some questions.

So lately I have been having HUGE problems with my internet. I use road runner cable. Anyways every 20 min its goes off and on. Like when Im gaming for 20min it will shut off and I will have no internet connection, Same goes for my brother who is in the room next to me. So I called road runner and the guy came over (Huge greasy mofo) and he said its because I had 2 tvs hooked up in my house. So he disconected it and gave me some new wire and said "It should never turn off again" well its worst then ever. I cant even play for 10 min and I will get a connection error. And if it makes it any helpfull when I run speedtest.net my ping is always 120-180. What do I do. I pay alot for cable and its very bad.

The same thing happened to me with Road Runner. My problem was a neighbor planted a small tree in her front yard and in the process split the cable, but then the two ends were able to touch to get a small connection. (You know, when you split a cable in half and you touch the two wires it will work, but not as good)

Hate to say it, but call again and keep having more people come out until it gets fixed. Eventually you may get someone who knows what they are doing. For me, it was the 4th time someone came out and found the problem, dug up the cable and said "HEY! You need this replaced!" He took out his tools, dug up the old cable, and got to work installing a new one. Great guy.

I would look into the firmware in your cable modem. My ISP updated the firmware in mine and the time out was set to 10 mins.
