Default Opera ad blocking question ???

Hi people....

Ive just started using Opera and i think its ace, what is the best way to block ads ??? apart from right clicking then block content..... is there some sort of list i can import that will block ads or an addon ?

by ads i mean pop ups

i mean advertisements in web pages.... i want something for Opera that does the same job that AdBlock Plus does for firefox ??

I tried it and wanted it to work, but i guess I'm too stuck in my ways with Firefox, i don't know whether i am happy to have firefox or sad that i couldn't pick up and use opera like i wanted.

I can see why people like it, but i think the main turn off for me was the lack of a recognizable bookmarks toolbar like firefox has and the fact that the tabs toolbar was up at the very top

Toolbar tab can be moved to any edge of your screen / Opera window.


Anyhows, i wa wrong about my query, i did not solve it.

Basically, one of my homeboys has this:



I however, do not have the "Manage Search Engines" option in the right-click menu... Does anybody know why? Or how i can get it?

To make google your default search provider... click on tools then preferences, then click on the search tab and double click on google. Next click on the details button and check the 'use as default search engine' box and your good to go................ You can manage all your search engines from that page!
