Not sure if this would be a good use to many people on these forums, unless you are a school or business tech.

I am not a tech, though, I plan on being one.
__________________I never have worked on an AD system, but I have on Novell. I never encountered that problem on Novell. Yes, I know that AD is different, but I didn't think it was that different for a simple host name change.

when you rename a computer in a AD environment then the name isn't automatically updated so it can cause issues
