Default GBit Lan

Ive had a quick search and couldnt find anything so dont yell at me lol

Anyhow, im having a problem with my home LAN, recently got a 3560G 24TS cisco gigabit switch for next to nothing (love ebay sniping)

now previously i was running a crappy 10/100 8port hub, so this was supposedly a big boost.
I have my LAN set like this.....

cable modem -> athlon xp3200 1gb ddr400 as router on xp sp2 ->

cisco gig switch -> 4 pc's

crappest pc is an amd 4200x2 2gb ocz 800mhz x1950xtx and all pcs run raid0 on sata drives

all of them run on dlink dge-530t gig cards and 5e cable but i dont seem to be able to get faster than 3.5mbps transfer rate?

im wondering if its my pc as im the only one with a dx10 gfx card i have to run vista while the others(my brothers) prefer to run xp

ive tried disabling ipv6 like it said in soem random google searches i found that did nothing, im at a loss as to what it could be, but 28mins to move a 6gb file is silly lol - it onyl took 10mins on the old 10/100hub

anyone have any ideas? its prob something really simple im missing lol

Um... do you have Gigabit Network Interface Cards?

That would be one reason why you wouldn't reach the maximum speed.

Also, there could be thousands of others.
