Default My ISP's doing something to my connection, Is it legal???

I have a 24x7 cable connection, but i'm getting constant alerts from zone alarm saying this IP address(my ISP's) is trying to connect to the internet through my pc....I'm ready to provide the full information provided by zone alarm(FTW) if it is acceptable at OCN...Please tell me if i should log a complaint against my ISP.

Also my download speeds dont cross 10KBps(on a 256k) which made me post this thread as it might also be due to illegal bandwidth usage by my ISP.

Hathway.

PS: They took 15 days to install the connection, my dad threatened them and they finally installed the cable. After atleast 100 threatening calls, they installed the router after another week.Their service is pathetic!

They might just be scanning you services they dont allow isps normaly port scan users to make sure their not running servers on the home acounts. On the speed problem id test it at differt sites then if their all slow gripe at them.

I'm getting the same crap on every site. Anything beyond a 10KBps is a miracle...even now, it takes atleast a minute for OCN to load. I have an Airtel Connection in my other home, i've neither received any such alerts nor faced such a slow speed, it stays beyond 30KBps and goes to the 60's sometimes.

Another discovery: Their online service usage monitor showed 3GB in 4 days. I never downloaded that much at the beginning. I'm sure about that too.

Are you usre you don't have some kind of virus? It could be hogging bandwidth and uploading/downloading information that you don't know about. Just a thought. What motivation would there be to falsify the amount of usage used, you know? Are you running something that your ISP doesn't like?
