No, for XP Just disable simple file sharing.

Windows XP Pro / MCE:
My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > Go to the bottom of the scroll box and uncheck "Simple File Sharing"

For Windows XP Home:
Out of Luck!

Through Vista:
Same thing, except it is something like Sharing Wizard, but it is one of the last options on there.

It's ALOT faster if you take the hard drive out of the other computer and put it in your computer, and drag files onto it that way. Will show up as like drive E: usually.

Whose PC is it?
If it is owned by your family, make sure it is okay?
If not, then stop and ask for permission. I don't think hacking other computer is necessary on something like this.

Unless you are a policemen or similar. Then you should have these skills.

and there was no hacking involved, Its my mothers computer, and I needed my BIN's.

Thanks goodness for Diskmode on iPods lol (its just so slow to transfer to them lol)
