Lol, I looked into that anantech review and it seemed the card made most everything worse!

I liked their idea about taking off the heatsink to use as part of a Blade costume!

While I do agree with the other members, that the KillerNic is overpriced, I would like to see your opinion on the card when you get it.

Some advice. If you take the heatspreader off, you can use it as a coffee mat.

It works pretty well.

For all you haters.... His reason for purchase is valid for offload BitTorrent and a hardware firewall.

I'm just curious if his router can handle the torrent connections now.

Surely you'd buy a network card which is half the price but can prioritise gaming packets just as well as the KillerNIC?

The KillerNIC is a full Linux computer. It has a USB port so you can plug in a hard drive and run torrents direct to that. Also being a full independent system, you can have a hardware firewall running on it before packets even reach your primary system. Show me a NIC that can do either of the above?

Guys, he bought this for what it is, which is a fully embedded computer that can handle the host's communications. Even if it doesn't reduce lag and all that fancy stuff that they claim, he is going to be using it for very valid purposes.

Besides, it can be fun to mess around with things like this. They might be a bit overpriced but they are still neat toys

Just lighten up a bit.
