I agree with everyone here, it is greatly overpriced for what it does. However, if you did not buy it for their "hype" about increasing FPS in games, and to actually use it for prioritizing your bit torrent traffic, then more power to you. I am interested to see some results when you are done.

Agreed. To me it is only useless when people buy it thinking it is going to magically reduce lag in a game.

Yes, but the point of a KillerNIC is to bypass the Windows TCP/IP system which is horrendous at dissecting and re-routing data in Internet packets.

Many 3rd party networks cards already do this and don't cost as much.

And, hardware firewall and NAT on Router not good enough? He must be downloading some dodgy stuff in order for that not to be sufficient enough.

Please don't see this as trolling, i'm simply providing my opinion.

...and his stated purpose was for torrenting which no other NIC will help offload. If he wants extra security, that's his call.

Hey exactly my point guys. I didn't buy it for that 2-3 ms. I bought it to run an FTP server / Bittorent / Firewall on it. I already have a really fast PC I am not going to gain fps with this card obviously. $200 might seem a lot for some of you but not so much for others. Before I had this card I couldnt download torrents and surf internet / play online games. Now from what I have noticed I have better ping and its more stable, no more ping spikes and such.

Hey guys

I installed it and it was a really easy install. You can access the card through an app called FNAtelnet and you can literally download and run most linux apps off of it. Right now I have it setup for an FTP server, hardware firewall and downloading torrents. Here a couple of pics of it installed.

Here I connected my 500GB HDD for the FTP/ torrents.
