Default Funny Conficker Stories

Any funny conficker related stories today? I figured this was the best section.

In class, my teacher was reading some poetry off of a website and she clicks a link to read another style of poem, and there must have been a popup or something, because this one girl (not the smartest) starts urgently telling everyone and the teacher, "DON'T CLICK IT, IT'S A VIRUS!!!!! MY HISTORY TEACHER WAS TELLING US ABOUT IT!!! IT'S BEING USED BY THE CYBER TERRORISTS!!!!"

I'm fairly sure she didn't know much of what she was saying, but, anyone else have some funny stories?

Nearly everyone I know has their PCs turned off, and the IT guy at work said I was "mad" to leave my PC on because I didn't have the patch thingy. Currently have 7 PCs on, 4 unprotected, no problems.
I'm pretty sure it's just an elaborate joke.

Its not a joke, its a real virus, Asia was hit hard first b/c of all the pirated copies of Windows and they prolly couldnt patch them. If there is a joke within this, its that how everyone is freaking out about this being the next Y2K and its simply nothing but a good virus.

The virus itself isnt new, its just "evolving" or w/e being updated.

I have to admit that the laptop that I'm using at the moment doesn't have a genuine vista copy, and it's fine. Just remember - if it does exist, think how much of a laugh you'll get when all my PCs go down

Actually it does since the conficker virus is using a weakness in Windows

Quote:
Conficker preys upon a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows that was patched in October, although the worm does take a number of actions to try and shut down antivirus programs and prevent them from updating. The Apple Macintosh OS X operating system is completely immune.
