Default BitDefender's logo in WLM...

Ok, just installed BitDefender Internet Security 2009, and its logo in Windows Live Messenger is bothering me. I assume it'd look ok on the default light background, but mine is black, so it looks like this:

Now, I'd like to know if anyone knows of a way to remove it. The only reference to it I found when I was searching on Google, and it was the exact same issue, posted on the BD forums, and no one replied to his issue, go figure.

Thanks in advance guys, I don't know where else to go with this =/.

Dont use Windows Messenger myself, but maybe there is a utility to remove ads from it. I used to use a little proggy called Noads.exe to keep ads from Yahoo's messenger.

Just did a quick search and found This No idea if it works or is recommended. But it says you can disable ads using it. Research it. Might be complete junk.

Well the problem here is that all addons for WLM only remove the ads that come with the program itself, there's nothing out there to remove things like that that just get loaded in there by another program. Thanks though.

You could search through the Registry and manually remove. Go to Regedit, HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWSLIVEMESSENGER/ Check through the subkeys for anything like LOGOS see if they have Bitdefender

same with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWSLIVEMESSENGER, again look for subkeys that say something like LOGOS and bitdefender

Could also look through Bitdefender keys, so same reg as above but Bitdefender instead of WINDOWS, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/BITDEFENDER

Back-up any keys you remove ... click File, then Export, whichever key you think it could be.

The registry doesn't seem to have anything in it either, thanks for the help though, guess I'll just have to look for a new security suite XD.
